How to vote
Everything below comes from the City of Kamloops, not from this campaign. Election day is Saturday, October 17, 2026.
Official election information
Five links worth having. They are the City's pages, and the City is the authority on all of it — not us.
- Voting Information Where and when to vote, advance voting days, who is eligible, and what to bring with you.
- Map of voting locations An interactive map of every voting place in Kamloops.
- Candidates for mayor and council The official list of everyone on the ballot, published by the City.
- Application to Vote by Mail for 2026 General Local Election If you can't get to a voting place, apply here for a mail ballot. Apply early — it has to get back in time to count.
- Municipal Election The City's main election page, with everything else including information for candidates.

Before you fill in the ballot
You are electing a mayor and eight councillors. The council decides almost everything.
A motion carries with five votes of nine, so the eight councillors you elect will matter more to the next four years than the name at the top of the ballot. You can vote for as few as one councillor or as many as eight — there is no rule that you must fill the ballot, and no advantage in doing it.
